As we begin November, Serie A has an exciting weekend of high-quality football and betting ahead. This week's round features two very interesting matchups: Napoli faces Como at the famous Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, and Udinese vs. Atalanta at the Bluenergy Stadium, each with its own storyline of either redemption or resilience and a major tactical battle and emotional journey.

However, they have a daunting task against an unpretentious Como 1907 coached by Spanish midfield wizard Cesc Fàbregas. 

Como is no longer the underdog you look past. Their 3-1 win over Hellas Verona on Saturday was a statement of purpose. They had 71% possession, five shots on goal, and goals from Tasos Douvikas, Stefan Posch, and Mërgim Vojvoda on their way to the impressive victory. 

They are well-organized defensively; they have only conceded three goals in their past six games, and they are quick and precise offensively. Como does not have the individual talents of Napoli. However, their structure, teamwork, and tactical patience make them one of the more interesting stories to watch this season in Serie A.

The historical balance between the two is surprisingly tight. Como has 4 wins, Napoli two, and no draws across six matches. The last match—Como 2-1 Napoli in February 2025, which is a reminder that history repeats itself in Serie A.

Conte's anticipated formation of the 4-1-4-1 will have Rasmus Højlund positioned as the single center forward, with David Neres and Matteo Politano on the wings. The key will be in Napoli's midfield trio of Gilmour, McTominay, and Anguissa, who will need to dictate the tempo against Como's deep-setting two in order to start combinations from their strong pressing style. 

Como's blueprint will be a deep, compact, and disciplined shape that is ready to counter through Douvikas and Paz. The central midfield will be a chess match, with the attacking transitions a display of fireworks.

A little further north, Udine is ready for another classic: Udinese vs. Atalanta at the Bluenergy Stadium. On the surface, it is a mid-table encounter, but in truth it is about two managers, who are both tacticians, looking to find consistency and their team's pride.

Atalanta comes into this fixture unbeaten in Serie A this season, but it is worth noting that their record is much more complicated, with seven of their nine matches this season being draws. Coach Ivan Juric has created a disciplined possession-driven side, and whilst tactically solid, their finishing has resulted in only six goals.

Udinese, under Kosta Runjaic, has had a rocky start to the season, but there have been moments of quality (like a 3-2 win vs. Lecce and a close loss to Juventus) that show they're capable of competing with anyone on their day.

Udinese are nearly at full strength aside from Thomas Kristensen. They will likely set up in a 3-5-2 formation with Keinan Davis and Nicolo Zaniolo in attack, supported by Lovric and Karlström in midfield.

Atalanta may be without Marten de Roon, as he suffered a knock in a midweek match, but still has an impressive squad: Lookman, De Ketelaere, and Ederson lead the charge as attackers in a 3-4-2-1 formation.

Piotrowski (Udinese) versus Bernasconi (Atalanta) is likely to determine the game's tempo, with Udinese looking to take advantage of the space left behind by Atalanta's high press while utilizing Zaniolo's creativity and Kamara's pace on the break.

According to betting markets, Atalanta has a 52% win probability, with Udinese at 28% and a draw at 26%; however, based on recent trends, their last five meetings had four draws—the safest betting option would be BTTS (Both Teams to Score) or a Draw/BTTS combo.
